6 Extra Link Building Strategies That Work

Six extra link building strategies – are you ready?    link building strategy

Would you like to build quality links to your website and improve your rankings on major search engines, especially Google?

Acquiring links have never been easier.

Links will also send targeted traffic to your website.

Gone are the days when you’ve to struggle to build links to your web pages, manually.

In today’s world, you could automate your link building processes. I’ll show you how…

In this post, I want to show you the 6 extra link building strategies that work. You could use the strategies below for ecommerce sites, blogs, discussion boards or even your corporate websites. There you go:

1.      Create epic contents

Original content that is inspiring and valuable can get a lot of links from target audience. What people are looking for isn’t a fancy blog or website. The people have needs and aspirations. They want you to help them with well thought-out blog posts and articles.

Have you ever linked to someone’s blog post without asking for their permission? Definitely, you have. If you read this post carefully, you will discover one or two citations to external, but quality posts. I found those external blog posts relevant to this one, and so, I had to link to them.

If you want people to truly build your links without asking for your permission, write epic contents continually. It’s like a fireball, you need to set your blog on fire with top notch contents and people would link to it at will.

2.      Ask people to share your post

What impulse makes people to take action?

While in College, we learnt that customers may not take action to buy from you – unless you ask them to. The same principle also applies to blogging and link building.

Tell people what they stand to gain by linking to your quality contents. Of course, it’d be outright failure if the content isn’t helpful. If you’re still expecting me to plead with you to write quality contents, it means you’re not ready to grow your business. Go and look for a job, offline.

Quality content has no alternative. Ask avid readers to link to it. Sure, they’d do whatever you ask them. The content must benefit their audience as well, if asking must work. Start by asking your friends who have their own blogs. Extend your hands to colleagues at work and fans. You’d get more quality links from this single act.

3.      Twisted content writing

when you build a website, you’d want people to read it.

Article marketing is long dead. When Google started rolling out their algorithm updates, content mills and article directories were drowned. Today, you need to approach content marketing from the Eagle’s viewpoint.

The Eagle while hovering above the ground will target the prey, first. After targeting, the Eagle will aim and attack. When you write contents for your blog, make sure you know the people who can read it. What are their needs and how desperate are they seeking for answers.

To twist your content means that you’ve to identify a need. Research your long-tail keywords and write detailed article to address it. If fate falls on your favor, your web page will rank on Google first page within 30 days. And when that’s done, people who search for those terms will recommend the page to others and share on social media networks.

4.      Guest post on A-list blogs

Guest posting is a link building strategy that is popular and effective. When I started marketing online, building niche blogs to sell digital e-books was my objective. I used guest posting to build links and connect with buyers.

However, some folks still don’t understand what guest posting is meant for. Yes, you can build links with it, but the benefits go beyond that. What about establishing a relationship with the blog owner for future business networking?

If you’re thinking of creating an e-book, software or membership site for your target audience, guest posting can help you build up a great portfolio and connect with successful people.

And basically, when you write a guest post, ask people to share it. From the author bio, link to your blog pages.

5.      Above the fold link building strategy

Do you know what “above the fold” means?

A few months ago, Google AdSense enacted a policy that says publishers should remove Ads from above the fold. Google team believes that people are distracted by such ads. So, “above the fold” is that area in a website, at the homepage or on inner pages that are visible – before scrolling down.

For instance, when you arrived on this blog, the first area you saw was the header, the menus, the post headline and the post introduction. That area is called “above the fold.” Now, it’s important that when building links to your website with guest posting, do all you can to have your link anchored at those spot (above the fold).

Google spider will reward your links and enhance your ranking if majority of them comes from “above the fold” area of any website or blog. So, provide excellent contents and blog owners would gladly add your links wherever, whenever.
