Top 5 Steps To Build A Money Making Website

Yes, you can build a money making website in 5 steps.     build money making website

The problem is, would the steps be simple and easy to apply?

Most of the articles online that teach how to start online business with a website are too generic.

There is no definite action step – and this can confuse people who want to market online.

I feel a strong urge to share this article with you. Because my website makes at least $2000 every single month.

I started marketing because I was tired of the 9-5 day job.

I just wanted a better way to work on my own terms and still have enough time for my lovely family.

Internet marketing was my saving grace and I encourage you to read this post from start to finish.

Let’s quickly look at the 5 steps to build a money making website. Are you ready to learn?

1.    Study a lucrative market

Before you can build a website, you need to study it critically. The niche you decide on must be lucrative, hot and evergreen.

In order words, doing business online is about long term benefits, not really what you can get today. Instant gratification is good; it can motivate you to keep going forward, but the main concern is sustaining the profit.

A lucrative market gives you the opportunity to make money now, while building a strong business for the future. Don’t just dabble into a market because of the monetary gains. Take your time to conduct a market research first.

Ask people what they desperately want to buy and you’ll have a winner. Always build a website in a lucrative niche. It doesn’t have to be your hobby. Any niche that is flexible is good, providing you can outsource efficiently.

2.    Keyword research, domain name and web hosting

I like to discuss the three-cord elements which are keyword research, domain name registration and web hosting. After studying your market, use Google keyword tool to extract the terms your target audience is using to search for you.

The rule of thumb is to find keywords with less than 500K competing web pages in Google, and over 1000 searches globally.

If you’re just starting out online, high competition can drown your efforts and make it seem as if you’re wasting time. If I were you, I’d target long-tail keywords.

Register your domain name; get a web hosting plan from a reliable company. The company must be able to deliver an uptime of about 98%. A lower uptime rate can’t suffice.

3.    Start a website using wordpress

I’ve written so many articles on how to build a website using wordpress CMS (content marketing system). It’s damn easy and you can get a blog/site up and running within 30 minutes.

Gone are the days when you’ve to code, write scripts and be savvy at programming to be able to get a website. In fact, being a programmer can have its downside now, because you’d tend to trust in your abilities, neglecting an easy system that everyone is using – wordpress.

When you install the wordpress software, you can easily add new content, add plugins, customize your theme and make your website a one-stop avenue for target audience.

4.    Monetize your website

I strongly believe that before you can make money online from your website, you must monetize first. So many bloggers and website owners complain that they’re not making enough money, and when I check their blogs, phew, they aren’t offering anything for sale.

The quickest way to destroy your chances of making money online is to ignore monetization. It doesn’t matter how old your website/blog is, you need to monetize it. Affiliate marketing, selling your own product and networking are great ways to monetize and profit.

One more thing, don’t send traffic to a website that has no form of monetization. It’d be a waste of time. At least, the traffic that comes to your website should be exposed to some form of product, even if they don’t buy right away.

5.    Start driving traffic to the website

I talked about website traffic earlier, because it’s the lifeblood of your online marketing website. Once you monetize your website, the next stage is traffic generation. I started sending traffic to my site even without any form of monetization. You know why?

I was building an email list. Email marketing can transform your business, build a strong business relationship with the right people and suck in cool dollars when you send offers to your list members.

The best ways to drive traffic to a website are blogging, guest blogging, search engine optimization, social media (twitter, facebook, stumbleupon and so on), forum marketing and pay per click advertising.

7 Blog Design Mistakes And How To Fix Them Quickly

How do you achieve tremendous success as a blogger?    blog design

It all boils down to how professional your blog design looks.

Most people are not able to make money from their blogs, because the design doesn’t depict their brands.

People connect with visuals more than text. You’ve to build a blog that appeal to your target audience.

No matter the quality of your contents, and products, your blog needs to appear clean.

So, what mistakes should you avoid when designing a blog or installing a theme?

1.       Avoid too many colors

Do you use too many colors on your blog design?

The essence of blogging is to serve your audience with quality content. That’s what they’re after – not the colorful theme. Of course, color has its role in soothing the minds of your readers, but content is the key factor.

If your blog is too colorful, it can hurt your readers’ eyes. Make it easy for them. Focus on quality and valuable content and use simple colors. A primary color (black) for the text and white background is ideal for professional blogging. Avoid too many colors today.

2.       Minimize pop up ads

People don’t like to be distracted. Sure, pop up ads can be effective and help you get more clicks, sales and even optins, but you’ve to minimize it. When you’re blogging, you truly want to build a platform where people can trust you.

Don’t make a mistake of putting heavy pop up ads on your blog. If you must use one, then set the IP address so that the Ad can only show once to a reader.

3.       Keep your sidebar clean

Most people clutter their sidebar with affiliate banner and irrelevant widgets. But that’s not good for your readers.

Even if you want to display Ads on your sidebar, make sure it’s relevant to your audience and your theme. If you’re an SEO blogger, don’t add an affiliate banner that leads to a real estate website. It doesn’t speak well of your expertise.

Popular post, latest post and comment widgets are the most important on your sidebar. Make sure you provide value, instead of clogging your sidebar with banner ads. You can’t earn good money like that.

4.       Make your typeface legible

Is your typeface legible?

You’ve to satisfy your readers with every little element. The typeface must be visible. Unfortunately, most blogs I’ve read haven’t realized the importance of a clean and visible typeface.

You can use Arial or Georgia on your blog posts. Time Romans can distract people from enjoying it.

Edit your CSS style sheet and change the typeface for your theme. It’s very important.

5.       Use consistent page layout and navigation

You also need to keep your page layout consistent. From your blog’s homepage, add a link to your inner pages. In essence, interlink every page. On-page optimization also affects your search engine ranking. So, don’t neglect it.

6.       Format your posts properly

Formatting your post is equally important. It begins with your headline. Make it catchy and add the strongest benefit.

Use bullet points and subheading to make reading fun. Interlink your previous posts that are relevant to new posts.

7.       Add a blog search box

You should help readers find relevant contents easily. Adding a search box on your sidebar would make your blog look professional and easy to navigate.

The Value Of A Simple and Professional Website Design

Let’s make it simple and professional – shall we?  simple website design

Reaching the target audience for your business is the number one concern of every entrepreneur.

If only there were underground secrets to driving potential customers without spending so much money on advertising, I’m sure you’ll grab them with open arms.

It’s no longer news that having a professional website design is important, but it also comes with great value.

In the process of meeting your audience’s needs, your business doesn’t have to suffer.

You can balance both activities – a simple and professional website design can support that.

Why are you in business?

It may seem like a common question, but knowing why you’re in business can help you design a valuable website. Basically, we’re in business to solve problems – impact our world and make profit.

It also reveals that from the outset, your website or blog must reflect what you’re trying to achieve with your business – solving problems.

People, who don’t take website design seriously, would end up losing customers and landing better offers in the short and long-run.

When you’re doing business online, you’ve to study your target market. Study potential customers to know how they make buying decisions.

Of course, you should be selling one form of product or service. Or why should you bother paying for a professional website if you’ve no plans to profit with it?

Make a simple and professional website

The market you’re targeting consists of people who have needs and aspirations. Due to the fact that the internet is a virtual world, the level of trust people have for marketers is low. Although, there are exceptions to that – you’ve to earn trust, instead of asking or begging for it.

A simple and professional website could help you speak directly to customers. You see, the main reason why people visited your website isn’t because your template is colorful or beautiful.

Don’t get me wrong, good template and themes play a very vital role in engaging people, but there is something more powerful – the information you share. Is it helpful? Is it valuable and easy to use?

You may still lose potential customers even when your beautiful theme had captured people’s mind. A simple website has one focus – to satisfy the reader or visitor as quickly as possible.

That’s what experts do. One important thing I learned in College was to always listen and obey industry experts. No matter what they say, we’re to accept it as the truth (even when it’s not totally right).

To stand out from the crowd and set your online business in motion, identify what makes you exceptional and use it to engage your audience.

Build your brand with a simple website

If you observe closely, you’ll see how successful most people are. And you’ll begin to wonder what’s stopping you from achieving your nice goals.

The major difference between an industry expert and someone who is barely touching lives around the world isn’t knowledge or years of experience. Then what is it?

You should already know – brand!

A brand differentiates you from the crowd. Amazon is known all over the world as a credible shopping site. There are over a million ecommerce websites, but only a few have become a brand name. What’s wrong with other websites?

As I said earlier, your website has to be simple and professional. Shift your gaze from the fancy design and focus on quality contents. No, you’ll still consider good design, but it won’t make any difference if your contents are weak and irrelevant.

People use the internet to search for solutions to problems. They’ve seen a lot of good designs, but the right answers to their problems are rare. Are you passionate about helping people reach their goals?

Your brand is your identity. In the business world, your brand can connect you with influential personalities. If you’re just starting out in this online world, the competition may try to discourage you from moving forward. But don’t give up.

Once you’re delivering value to the target audience and your website is easy to navigate, you’ll grow in no time. It’s a promise!

Enrich your website gradually

Gradually, you can grow your website into a profitable business. Some intelligent folks have been able to turn their passion, hobby and skill into a lucrative venture. You can attain that too!

With hard work and determination, you too can achieve your business goals with peace of mind. Get started by adding a persona to your website. Blog with style and don’t forget to communicate with potential prospects through email marketing.
